It is so strange, I suppose I should feel deflated, but I feel way more encouraged than I have in a long time. Way back in 1981 a few of us saw the philosophical shift the top dogs were making, and we saw the "retreat only" strategy they were forming, and we opposed from then on. But so few others saw. Now I have lived long enough to know that huge numbers of my brothers and sisters see through the fog of lies and false fronts. It's horrendous the price we will all pay. But those tens of thousands of NO votes have made it a different day today. I like this day much better. The company-union guys have spent their political capital and now they are bankrupt for all to see.
