New numbers are out for GM and the results show their sales are shooting through the roof. Last month, GM's mid-crossover segment jumped by 320% overall. That includes more than 12,000  sales on three vehicles made right here in our area. That news  has GM dealerships are enjoying the ride. GM sales are riding sky high and the GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook and Buick Enclave are getting much of the credit together are making it happen.

Allison Buege Watson, General Manager: "Vehicles are great, the customers want them, they very rarely stay here for more than a couple of days, so it's just been a great mix."

The Glenn Buege Buick GMC dealership in Lansing is enjoying the third month in a row of increased sales with three of the top selling vehicles made at the GM plant in Delta Township.

Allison Buege Watson: "I really haven't seen this much enthusiasm in a long time. Having the plant here in town has just been so beneficial."

GM reports an increase of sales up 3% in the month of October, and this month they're expecting another increase in sales, which is good news for dealerships, especially in this failing economy.

Allison Buege Watson: "This year in Lansing has been such an up and down year. We're trying to focus on the positives. The strike is over, things are moving on, so we just hope to continue throughout 2007 on a positive note."

And with the constant flow of GM vehicles rolling off the lot, it's no secret to what dealerships are looking forward to next month. Sales for the Cadillac CTS made at the Lansing Grand River assembly plant also surged 75% compared to last years' sales.
